Geez!
There are two damn parking lots at The Marketplace. Why did you have to park in the driveway at a busy intersection? And what's with the fancy new truck, anyway? "Traffic Accident Investigator?" Well, that will be handy when you cause a traffic accident due to your careless parking.

Personal hygiene begins and ends in your bathroom.
Hey lady! Thanks for knocking my buddy in the head with your daughter's dirty clipped toenail. We don't understand why the ferry is often the place to do pedicures. Blech.

Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs
So, hooray, or so I thought. After a long hiatus, we are now able to renew business licenses online. It's the little things that make us happy here. So after entering a user name and password to open an account, this is what I received from them:
Passcode for the Business:
System generated passcode is:
This passcode is only required if you create new profile with
different email address or you want to share it with someone else
to manage your account in DLCA portal with their own profile.

Another reason why it wasn't such a good idea to close the park and the sidewalk.
His brakes went out way up by the traffic circle, so he zoomed through town, yelling for people to watch out, since apparently the horn was broken as well. He was careening towards a large group of people in the road, when he finally crashed into the fence and stopped. Thank goodness today is a holiday and the public school is closed.

Sorry these are blurry, but it is kind of scary to take photos of taxis at the dock.
I love the way the taxi drivers back into their allotted spaces at the dock, and then pull forward, oh just a few feet, SO NO ONE ELSE CAN BLOCK THEM IN.

Parking at Maho
According to the National Park, visitors to Maho who park in the road will be ticketed if any of their tires are on the pavement. Additionally, they do not want cars parked on the beach side because it is damaging the sea grape roots.
Nice parking job, Mr. Ranger. You set a great example.
Thanks to S. for this photo.

No loitering.
New refreshment stand is now located in the back of a pick up truck in the road blocking the thirty minute parking spaces at the end of the dock. A nice umbrella and some folding chairs in the road make this new business quite welcoming. Grrrrrr.

White Toyota With Bullet Holes - $3700 (STX)
The bullet holes are no big deal since they are only .22 caliber. There are 11 bullet holes. Inspection is good till Nov 2011, at which time it will need a new windshield. The two passenger windows are shot out. No AC. Automatic transmission, 184K miles. Located mid-island on St. Croix. Clear VI title. Runs good.
