Hello All!!

My husband and I are beginning our research as to whether or not we would be able to move to the U.S.V.I. I am a teacher and he is an aircraft mechanic and we are looking for some insight from current or former residents on the cost of living, availability of jobs, etc. We would LOVE to purchase a Bed & Breakfast to run so I would also appreciate any information or thoughts you may have on this.

WAPA is and will be the biggest challenge of the VI's. Second is the amount of excessive Government Payroll and the lack of action to preserve votes for the politicians of VI's.
WAPA is draining wallets of individuals and closing business's in the territory.
Is it too much to ask of Hess to sell just the fuel to the consumer's of STX at their refined cost here on island?
Frankly, as a independent employer/tax payer, there are much better business environment's to operate other than VI's. I am sick of the shit!

And, I am so tired of your random use of apostrophes.

Jaws back on her mooring, triple secured with stainless steel chain. No chance on these jelouse west indian sob's cutting her loose again. They may slow me down, but they won't be able to stop me from reaching my goal. Sharkbite rock

s!!! And there's my littly green house in the background, so I can keep an eye out on her.

WAPA, WAPA, WAPA.

Dear WAPA,
You already won first place for the worst utility provider in the Virgin Islands, so please stop trying to prove it to us. We get it. You suck.
Sincerely,
No-See-Um & Crew

Ahem, "peeked inside" is also known as trespassing. Wow.

This villa in the Devers Bay area caught my eye but I can't find any info on it.
Hubby thinks it is a private residence and not a rental and since I can't find anything on it,
I am starting to think he is right. Looks like a great place so if anyone knows anything about it,
would appreciate some info.

Thanks!

Thanks! The gate was open and there were no cars so I took a quick tour of the outside and peeked
inside. The outside living arae behing the pool is just great.Really is a gorgeous house inside and out.
I really thought it was a rental because it was immaculate with no personal effects that i could see.

I heart you, you-know-who! Thanks for your help!

I finally learned how to post Facebook photos!  I've wanted to post these for some time now, and I just learned how to change the format.  So, here they are.  Photos posted by the villa manager of her pet pig swimming in the pool at the property she works for.  There is nothing remotely cute about this. Nasty!

This shit is AWESOME!

From a recent St. John trip report, written by a first time visitor:

Just to let you know- expect weight gain! Not only from the drinking and eating,
but from what I was told by more than one person, the altitude!
Oh my goodness, I hate altitude! I gained 14lbs. Bring a diuretic.

And from the king of awesomeness himself, this comment:

Last time I looked, we were at fucking sea level. Where was she staying? Mount Chateau Everest?
