I am beating my eyeballs out. And yes, beet was spelled the same way on both sides of this sign.

  1. That must be the traditional carib indian recipe using the local beets rendered into a flour and then moistened with goats milk to produce the batter. Traditionally one would fry this in virgin coconut oil for a truly Caribbean flavor that is a taste of history. Don't knock it til you try it...
