No Parking at Trunk Bay

On the switchback, of all places. Welcome to St. John.

The worst handicapped parking space in the whole world.

The sign says that handicapped access is around the corner, but you need to go up two flights of stairs to read the sign. Seriously? So someone parks in this lame-ass spot, only to find NO SIDEWALK? And never mind being shoved next to the dumpster at the beginning of a very busy intersection. Shame on these owners for not being more in compliance with the law.

Parking, yet again.

OK, so this stopped being funny long ago. They (who?) repaved part of the PUBLIC parking lot in between Nature's Nook and Denzil Clyne Jeep Rental. There goes six parking spots, which are now marked as "NO PARKING".  Oh, but lookie here! I guess if you work at Denzil Clyne's, not only can you take up at least 75% of the "public" parking spaces, you are also entitled to the ones which clearly read "NO PARKING".  GRRRRR. 

Parking: I think this is going to be a recurring theme.

Brilliant! High season on St. John, so Mongoose Junction ropes off a good fifteen parking spaces!

Here I go, asking the "Why? question again.

Why were there three unoccupied police cars taking up three private parking spots in front of Selene's Apartments this morning? Update! Friday was small claims at the courtroom in Boulon Center. Apparently, the officers can't walk one block up from the police station.

Email from building manager to all of the tenants:

Please be aware that the parking lot is for the customers of the XXXX - your customers. Tenants are not allowed to park in the lot overnight - and please do not even consider parking for an extended period of time. Many of you are going away for the Holidays - we wish you well. If you want to find your car when you return, we strongly suggest you park it somewhere other than the XXXX parking lot.

Sort of humble reply from building manager:

My sincere apologies if it seemed to be a "threatening" email. It was not intended that way but more of a reminder of the parking lot rules that often get overlooked. I thought people would appreciate a reminder rather than a surprise when they returned to find that their car had been towed. I appreciate your comments and will be more careful in the future.

Now this one perplexes me. This parking spot is unsure if it is for 30 minute parking, or for use by taxi drivers. Hard as it is to see, the top arrow points to the right, and the bottom arrow points to the left. Me no know!
