Me:

"Good afternoon;  it's raining like crazy and my phone has gone out yet again".

Reply from a Kind Innovative Customer Service Agent (KICSA, kind of sounds like "Kiss My Ass"):

"OK, dear, give me your name and number and I'll set up a repair date".

Me:

"Good, I promise you that if my phone fixes itself after the rain ends, as it often does, I will cancel the appointment".

Reply from KICSA:

"Thank you.  I have you down for repair on June 1st.  I wish today was Friday".

Me:

"Sorry, honey, but hang in there.  Also, can you tell me how to call forward my phone line to my cell?".

Reply from KICSA:

"Oh, no dear, I don't know how to do that".

Me:

"Is there anyone there who can help me?".

Reply from KICSA:

"Oh, no, I don't think so".

Dear Ms. XXX:

I am sorry that you are a union employee, earning huge benefits, and also that you have to deal with the general public. I am also sorry that you work for an unnamed major employer in the Virgin Islands, who not only gets EDC benefits (meaning, pays no taxes), but is also bankrupt, and running his business with duct tape and band-aids.

My guess is that you are exhausted from saying "NO", since that seems to be your favorite word. And I can guarantee that once I post this, I am so FUCKED.

OK, so if you can see this picture of the frog that jumped me this evening, TERRIFIC! I don't mean terrific in the sense that I almost had a coronary, but great, because that means I am still alive. But I am getting some weird gobbly-gook when I try to post a photo on my end. So be it.

Moving onward.

Nice monsoon today for all of the holiday people. Boyfriend came over, then I had to move a car, so he gave me a near-death's ride to E&C to pick up my car. One windshield wiper, thankfully, it was on his side, and ridiculous puddles and hysteria on Jacob's Ladder. And then to return home to this thing lunging at my right arm.

Oh, and my phone is down, repair will be here after the New Year, STX Carnival, and Three King's Day.

I am in Innovative hell right now. Spotty Internet, going on two weeks. The recording the other day announced: "At this time, we are experiencing intermittent service with most of our customers on St. John. This issue is being worked on, and should be resolved {LONG PAUSE} shortly."
