Avoid Charlotte Amalie when the cruise ships are in
If you are visiting Charlotte Amalie try and choose a day when there are no

cruise ships in (or at least not too many!). The place gets swamped with

fat middle aged women being trailed round the shops by bored looking husbands.

I think Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the worst.

I just can't believe what I read.

How rude and uninformed. The size of the passengers is irrelevant.
The issue is that 3 average size ships in port at the same time can have
up to 6,000 to 8,000 passengers disembarking to shop and eat in
Charlotte Amalie and visit other areas on the Island. This does tend to
clog the roadways around the harbor. You could have made this point
without the other disparaging remarks which detract from an otherwise
legitimate comment.
