“ Why won't they let you put Jeep tops down ”
Mar 03, 2010, 1:08 PM
Every car rental place I've found on St. John states that they won't
let you put the Jeep Wrangler top down... why is this? Do you know
of any rental places that don't have this rule?
Reply:
The roads on STJ are very curvy and steep, some are not paved.
Most people are not skilled in driving an off road vehicle and the
potential for damage is far too big.
Reply:
what does a curvy or unpaved road or inexperienced driver
have to do with having the top up or down?
Next reply, cat fight!
Not that my answer will matter because you will just argue,
but it is an insurance issue for the rental car company.
if you would like me to get my friend that owns a car rental
company to come here and vouch for that, please let me know.
I will be happy to ask them to register and reply, since I am
confident that you will not take my word for it.
Reply:
the direct responses as to "why" are straightforward and
give logical reasons. your response is juvenile and shows
a disregard for property of others and legal obligations.
sorry, i don't usually do negative responses but yours
belongs on a "in your face board"
not one dedicated to travel issues.
